Update

The traffic degradation observed on Facebook Peering 1 & 2 in Mumbai was caused by maintenance activity on the routers handling the affected peering links.

The maintenance was performed by Meta and was not announced to Extreme IX in advance.

The maintenance has now been completed, and traffic is already recovering and returning to the affected peering links.

No action is required from customers at this time.

Issue

We have noticed a decrease in traffic from Meta (Facebook) Peering 1&2 (AS32934) (103.77.108.135 & 103.77.108.136) compared to the typical volume experienced on regular days.

It is important to note that our infrastructure is functioning without any reported issues. Also, all the traffic is shifted and delivered from their other nodes. There should not be any interruption in your traffic.

We have promptly escalated this matter to Meta (AS32934) and initiated communication with them to address the situation.
