Relocation of Mumbai Extreme IX Route Server 1 (RS1) - 103.77.108.200 / 2001:df2:1900:2::200 (ASN 49378) from 2026-01-20 01:30 IST to 2026-01-20 05:00 IST
Updates
We are currently facing a disk issue on RS1 in Mumbai. Due to this, the device needs to be rebuilt from ground zero, which is taking longer than initially anticipated.
To ensure proper restoration and stability, we are extending the ongoing maintenance window by an additional 2 hours. Our team is actively working on the issue and will provide further updates as progress continues.
We will be shifting Route Server 1 (RS1) from its current location to a new data center within the Mumbai Extreme IX infrastructure.
Maintenance Window:
Date: January 20, 2026
Start Time: 01:30 AM IST
End time: 02:00 AM IST
Duration: 30 Minutes
Technical Details:
Affected Router: Route Server 1 (AS49378)
IPv4: 103.77.108.200
IPv6: 2001:df2:1900:2::200
Member Impact:
No IX Downtime: Route Server 2 (103.77.108.240 / 2001:df2:1900:2::240) will remain fully operational and will continue to advertise all member prefixes during this window.
BGP Flapping: Members will observe BGP sessions flapping specifically with RS1 while it is being moved and reconnected. Sessions will restore automatically once the move is complete.
We recommend ensuring your BGP sessions are established with both Route Servers to maintain seamless traffic flow during the maintenance.
